Hi, I'm Laurel Elders.

Picture
Welcome! If you struggle with emotional eating and feel exhausted or burnt out, I'm deeply grateful you are here. It takes courage to seek help.

After years of struggling with the dieting rollercoaster, binge eating, losing weight, and gaining it all back, I was mentally, emotionally, and spiritually drained. The latest dieting fads promised 'easy/simple results' and consistently failed long-term.

I did the research and discovered that 80% of diets fail. Diets especially fail for emotional eaters. Furthermore, I located the exact approaches proven to last - everything the dieting companies did NOT want you to discover.

Good news! I'm here to teach you what they won't.

Eating With Heart™ is down to earth, based in health science, human development, and positive psychology. The approach I give you empowers you to create a new relationship with your body and food. Like learning to ride a bike, it is an education that lasts a lifetime.

If you are ready to learn a grounded approach to take your power back without making drastic, expensive changes to your diet, then I am grateful you are here!

I started Eating With Heart™ to teach what I learned (as someone who healed my battle with emotional eating),  coach women through the entire process, and empower women as a health educator.

I've been empowering women since 2005. I love helping people like me, looking for a practical way to embrace lifestyle changes that last a lifetime.

Ready to start learning a new way?
I give you immediate access to my top 12 tips to regaining a loving relationship with yourself and with food so that you can begin stepping towards freedom for life. My gift to you.
Symptoms of following the tips may include:
  • Weight loss that endures (even through the Holidays!)
  • Self-love
  • Self-knowledge (we can't fix what we don't see)
  • Self-respect
  • The love/hate relationship with food turns into LOVE
  • Inner-peace

This is a photograph of me at my heaviest weight (size 16-18). I was with my grandma and sister in 1997 (I am on the right). This photo was taken two years after my first son was born, and I was in the middle of my full-on daily battle with emotional eating. This is one of the few pictures I allowed to be taken of me at this weight. I lived with shame.
Four kids later, I have over two decades of freedom with food to enjoy and had the pleasure of teaching hundreds of people how to turn their love/hate relationship into one of LOVE!

NOTE: The breaking-free process is NOT a quick fix. If you want a quick fix, this method is not for you. However, if you are ready to get real and take each step (one at a time, so the results integrate into new habits), I invite you to take the first step today! Practice each step at the pace that feels right to your heart. I imagine that is why you are here - to honor your heart. I applaud you for that.
